The Intent of the Podcast, Buried Truth

Last evening we spent a couple of hours recording the next sessions of Buried Truth, and I was deeply moved by the experience.
"Incredulous" was my sister's response to hearing more about her story, and I could understand why - it was a truly mind-boggling account.
Buried Truth aims to create a safe space for individuals to share their stories, and it's not about rewriting the script, but rather about honoring their truth. We're simply holding sacred space to hear their stories.
After the recording, I gained a deeper understanding of why I was prompted to reach out to Jamie while driving on Highway 10 late one afternoon in April. I hadn't texted her since December, but her name kept dropping in my spirit, and I felt an overwhelming sense of urgency to pray for her. I sent her a text and then headed straight to the hospital, where she was - an experience that will be shared in another part of the podcast. It was truly unbelievable.
She needed a "sanctuary" - a place where she could feel safe - and she was desperate for consistency in caregiving from a trusted source.
It all makes sense now, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of her journey. To honor God. To serve Jamie and her family and friends.
By the time we get through her story, it will be clear why we need to raise up The Wildflower Center.
